About This Product
TifTuf Bermuda is the drought-tolerant lawn that saves water and money while giving you a durable place for your kids and dogs to play. Unlike other grasses, it does not go dormant during drought, with better overall turfgrass quality and color under drought stress than any other bermudagrass — a difference you'll notice on your water bill. Fine-textured and bright green, TifTuf is superior in color and density to Tifway (419), with quicker spring green-up and better color retention into fall. It adapts to full sun or moderate shade as long as it gets at least 5–6 hours of direct, unfiltered sunlight, with better shade tolerance than other bermudas such as Tifway. It offers the best resistance to wear and tear of the sods we carry, with fast recovery from play or drought. TifTuf is disease resistant, can be installed any time of year — even dormant — and can be mowed with a reel, rotary, or robotic mower. Its fast-establishing root system takes root in under 7 days, up to 75% faster than most other varieties.
