About This Product
The Fire Magic 30-inch Aurora A540i Built-In Grill combines high-performance engineering with a sleek, beautifully crafted design, delivering cooking versatility, durability, and longevity with many of the same features as the Echelon Diamond series. This is the A540i-7E configuration: analog thermometer, WITHOUT the optional backburner/rotisserie package (A540i-7EAN natural gas / A540i-7EAP propane). Patented Diamond Sear cooking grids have bars with a smooth flat top shaped to optimally transfer heat from the burners to the cooking surface, so food cooks faster and more evenly, above heavy-gauge stainless steel Flavor Grids that disperse heat quickly and evenly, vaporize juices for flavor, and minimize flare-ups and grease fires. The cooking surface provides 540 sq in of primary cooking space (30 in W x 18 in D) plus a removable 240 sq in warming rack (30 in W x 8 in D), and main burners deliver 63,000 BTUs of total output from 1/4-inch thick cast 304 stainless steel burners weighing up to 12 lbs, designed with a protective lip above the ports to prevent clogging, and guaranteed for life. The double-walled 304 stainless steel hood opens a full 90 degrees for easy access and efficient exhaust with a Teflon-coated spring assist for smooth opening, a 12V interior halogen lighting system enhances evening grilling, comfort-touch knobs with a brushed finish are back-lit at 41 degrees (the flame icon turns red when on), and a large analog thermometer with polished stainless steel bezel is embedded in the hood at a forward angle for easy viewing. IMPORTANT: the backburner and complete rotisserie kit (heavy duty motor, solid spit rod, two meat prongs, counter balance, and polished stainless steel backburner cover) are NOT included in this configuration - they are available as the alternative A540i-8EAN(P) configuration from Fire Magic. Built-in installation requires a countertop cutout of 32 in W x 19 1/2 in D x 11 1/2 in H; Fire Magic's published cutout dimensions are for non-combustible construction, and if installing in a COMBUSTIBLE enclosure the correct R.H. Peterson insulating liner for this grill (model 23150-52, sold separately, not included) must be used with a non-combustible countertop. The enclosure must be installed on a hard and level surface, properly vented in accordance with the owner's manual, and provide a properly wired, grounded 120VAC (15 amp minimum) GFCI-protected three-wire receptacle for the electronic lighting and push-to-light hot surface ignition. A minimum 5-foot clearance is required between the countertop and overhead construction; the rear of the unit must have a minimum 4-inch clearance from any backsplash/non-combustible wall; do not install under combustible overhead construction without a suitable UL 710 or ULc S646 approved heavy duty vent hood. The gas shut-off valve must be within 6 feet of the unit and easily accessible, and if a solid area exists beneath the unit a 1 1/2-inch diameter or square hole must be provided for the gas supply. Backed by the industry-leading Fire Magic warranty: lifetime on cast stainless steel burners, Diamond Sear and rod stainless steel cooking grids, and the stainless steel housing (see firemagicgrills.com/warranty-2 for full terms).
